Recreation & Resources

Kayaking in front of our
home!
The San Juan archipelago, located
between the mainland and Vancouver Island, was created by the glaciers
that once covered the Northwest coast. Magnificently scenic and
peaceful, the San Juans rank among the world's most beautiful islands.
Orcas
Island is the largest and
geographically most interesting of the ferry-served islands and offers
the best recreational opportunities in the San Juan Islands. Moran
State Park is one of Washington's largest state parks and offers
numerous opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Fishing, kayaking, bicycling and hiking are all
activities available on this lush island. The town of Eastsound, at the
center of the island, offers a delightful collection of shops and some
excellent restaurants.
Mount
Constitution, located in 4,000 acre Moran State Park, is - at 2,454 feet
- the highest point in the San Juan Islands, and offers a spectacular
360-degree view.
